Great roundup, Tim! I still wonder if any legislation will be able to pass considering how many red states are firmly invested in EV and/or battery plants these days. If those reps advocate for their constituencies, it’s hard to see a bill gaining traction. Thoughts?
Thanks, Peter! There's a lot of dissonance here between federal messaging and direct impacts on consumers, as you point out, and it's really hard for me to square it all. But given how little political action seems to be based on rational thought of late, I suppose that shouldn't be surprising.
I genuinely don't know how this will shake out, but I take a little solace in talking with execs at various auto companies and learning that they're similarly in the dark!
