Happy New Year, y'all. I hope that all the dates on all your devices transitioned over smoothly and that if you over-indulged on the big night, your head and the rest of you have now fully recovered.
Me, I'm still recovering from a bender of a different sort. I spent the wee parts of the new year in Saudi Arabia covering the 2025 running of the Dakar Race. I was embedded with the Ford Performance team for a few days in the lead-up to the first stage. Let's just say that sleep was not in abundant supply, and two 24-hour legs of travel within the span of 5 days is a lot.
Much more on all that coming soon once I finish getting all the sand out of my gear's orifices. And my own.
This week I wanted to share my latest video, a deep-dive on the second-generation R1S, specifically an R1S Tri Max, with three motors and the big battery pack.
It offers big range and big performance, and honestly it's pretty big in many other ways too, not the least of which its price. Is this really a rig worth over $100,000?
To answer that question, I thought it'd be best if I answered everyone else's questions, so I hit up all the social networks (which, let me tell ya, is a lot harder than it used to be) and asked what folks wanted to know. The result is this video, which I sincerely hope you'll check out.
And if you want to get in on the Q and A yourself next time and don't follow me already, here's where you can find me on many a social platform near you.
