Sorry to be a little tardy this week, folks. It's been a busy one per usual, a jaunt to Italy backed by a follow-up run to Paris and then on to Stuttgart. No rest for the freelancers.
Anyway, here's what I've been up to this week -- well, actually, much of this was written weeks ago but you know how it goes. On to the content.
Jalopnik: Rallying in a Lambo
"In the first few sessions, I kept missing the important turn-two apex because I didn’t feel like the Performante had enough grip to get me down there. But it did, and probably plenty more grip to boot. It was my brain that wasn’t up to the task."
Ars Technica: Livin’ On a Kia
"Once we were settled, we started to appreciate the advantages of a rooftop tent. While we were thankful to not need the integrated rain cover, if we were actually camping on a soggy weekend, the prospect of doing so high above the muddy ground, not having to worry about rivulets forming through our sleeping bags in the middle of the night, was very appealing. Being able to open up the top flap and stand up for an extra-high view of the surroundings was nice, too.
“But there were some notable disadvantages, primary among them being an inability to move the car. Once the tent is set up, you're not going anywhere unless you take it down again. That precluded us from enjoying everyone's favorite activity when at a campground: driving around to see who has a better site than you. We just had to tell ourselves we'd picked the best."
Yanko Design: Reviewing Honda's New HR-V
"The HR-V rides with a poise and composure that's unusual for an SUV of this size, soaking up road imperfections with no complaint or negative feedback transmitted to the driver. There's little to tell you that you aren't driving a car costing far more than this one's $30,590 as-configured price."
