Since my CNET departure it's been a fun adventure having a go in the freelance realm. TechCrunch: Interview With Volvo’s New CEO Jim Rowan
Okay, this was actually late last week, but I’m including it here just the same. I was really glad to be able to bring this interview to TechCrunch, speaking with the former Dyson CEO about the shift to automotive. We talked about how Volvo is looking to differentiate itself from the competition, still leaning into its safety roots despite things like airbags and ADAS being table-stakes.
SlashGear: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 First Drive
The latest, greatest Corvette is a wild change of personality compared to what we've seen before. With a high-strung, screaming V8 it drives and sounds like no 'Vette before. And that's a good thing.
InsideEVs: Hyundai Ioniq 6 First Drive
Hyundai's latest won't visually appeal to everyone, but with range estimates well in excess of 300 miles thanks to some advanced aero design, you have to respect it. It drives great, too. I few all the way to South Korea just for a go behind the wheel and I’m glad I did.
Yanko Design: Nissan Z Review
A great, design-forward venue for my review of the Nissan Z, which charmed me with its presence and style. I didn't love the automatic trans so much, but I do of course love that you can get it with three pedals!
